Terms of Service & Service Agreement
Effective Date: April 28, 2026
1. Services Provided
C-Suite Makeup and Hair (the "Company") provides professional makeup, hair styling, makeup consultation services. By booking a service, you agree to provide a safe and suitable environment for the service to be performed (if on-site) and to disclose any allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions that may affect the service.
2. Deposit & Booking Fee
To secure your appointment date and time, a 25% non-refundable (but transferrable at the discretion of the owner) deposit is required at the time of booking.
Application of Deposit: This deposit will be applied toward your final service balance.
Non-Refundability: This fee covers administrative costs, kit preparation, and the reservation of time that could otherwise be booked by other clients. By paying this deposit, you acknowledge that it is non-refundable but transferrable at the discretion of the owner in the event of a cancellation by the client.
Rescheduling: If you need to reschedule, your deposit may be transferred to a new date if notice is given at least 48 hours prior to the original appointment.
3. Electronic Refunds (CA AB 414 Compliance)
In the rare event that a refund is issued (e.g., if the Company must cancel the service):
Default Method: Pursuant to California Assembly Bill 414, if your deposit was paid electronically (Credit Card, Venmo, Zelle), any refund must be issued to that same electronic source unless both parties agree in writing to a different method (such as cash or check).
Timeline: Refunds will be processed within [e.g., 7-10] business days of the cancellation notice.
4. Mobile & On-Site Conduct
For services performed at a client’s location:
Access: You must ensure the professional has access to the location at the scheduled time.
Safety: We reserve the right to refuse service or leave a location if the environment is deemed unsafe, unsanitary, or if the professional is subjected to harassment. In such cases, the full service fee may still apply.
5. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, C-Suite Hair and Makeup’s liability for any claim arising out of our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by the consumer for the specific service in question. We are not liable for reactions to products if allergies or sensitivities were not disclosed in writing prior to the service.
6. Dispute Resolution (Arbitration)
Any dispute arising from these Terms or our services will be settled via binding arbitration in Los Angeles, California, rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify.
7. California "Cooling Off" Period
If services are sold at your home or a location other than the seller's appropriate trade premises, you may have the right to cancel the contract within three business days under California’s "Home Solicitation Sales Act."
